As a Full Stack Software Developer Mentor at 4Geeks Academy, I mentor students through project feedback, coding challenges, and personalized guidance, helping them build strong portfolios and prepare for careers in tech. My responsibilities include fostering hands-on learning in a collaborative environment.
4Geeks Academy, renowned for its flipped classroom approach and robust career support, boasts a network of over 4,000 alumni with high employment rates. I specialize in mentoring students on technologies such as JavaScript, React.js, Python, Bootstrap, MySQL, ensuring they gain practical, industry-relevant skills.
PROJECTS
These projects are a snapshot of my journey as a developer. Figuring things out as I go, building real solutions, and learning a ton along the way. Each one pushed me to problem-solve, try new technologies, and level up my skills. They’re not perfect (what project ever is?), but they show my commitment to growth, my curiosity, and my drive to create things that actually help people.
Built a React app to strengthen my understanding of state management and component-based design. Also utilized Bootstrap, and a RESTful API to synchronize tasks with the backend. Features include adding, removing, and clearing tasks.
To-Do List Application
A sleek gym website built to enhance user and admin experiences. Features include profile creation, password recovery, memberships, class scheduling, wellness resources, and a social feed. Integrates Stripe for payments and Mailgun for emails. Built with React, Bootstrap, Flask, SQLAlchemy, and JWT Authentication.
Communiti Learning Hub
A platform for tech learners offering resources and community engagement. Contributed to backend development with Firebase integration for profiles, uploads, and comments. Other technologies used were React, Chakra UI, and Sass. Faced difficulties with database integration but successfully implemented CRUD operations with Firebase after researching and troubleshooting.
Mentor Tracking App
Collaborated with a my co-mentor at 4Geeks Academy to build an app for tracking mentoring sessions between mentors and students. Built with a Python Flask backend, React frontend, and MongoDB database. It features secure user authentication with JWT, student profile management, and detailed session logging. The responsive dashboard offers an overview of recent activity and key student metrics. Built with Tailwind CSS for a modern UI, the app also supports real-time updates to keep data current across all components.
